But what makes Ogami\u2019s Repap\u00a0even more interesting is that it isn\u2019t made of cotton or hemp like most paper alternative; instead, it\u2019s made from\u00a0calcium carbonate, which is a byproduct of limestone.<\/p>\n<p>Repap \u2014 that\u2019s \u201cpaper\u201d spelled backward \u2014 is made using calcium carbonate, which is recovered from stone quarries and waste from the building industry. And since the product is naturally white, no bleaching is necessary to get that familiar paper look.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike paper, Repap is waterproof and can be erased cleanly for re-use.
